How do Revit and Fabrication find available configurations on a computer?

I downloaded a configuration from another computer to my computer, but neither Revit nor Fabrication finds it. I can use CAMduct - add link to my configuration and then it will be available in Fabrication. But it will also become available in Revit. How does Revit find it? Maybe there is a file where information about available configurations is recorded?

First you need to add the Config to the PC using Start>Fabrication XXXX>Edit Configuration>New
