I'm fairly new to Revit.  It seems like this should be easy, but I can't figure out how to get the title block to show the date and what it's going out for (e.g. CD, DD, etc.).  The title block was set up by the architect and has a space for this information, but even after searching for a while, I can't find any explanation of how to input information into that area.

Look in Project Information.

It could be set up based on the Sheet Issue date as well.

There need to be built-in or Shared Parameters in both the title block family and the project to allow you to edit that information.

If they are missing then when you select the title block you will see question marks.

You need to load the parameters into the project

and then associate each parameter to either Project Information (this wall have one value on all sheets e.g. the project name or project number etc) or Sheets (this will have a different value on each sheet e.g. the drawing number)

Did you add content to the revision schedule? I'm in RVT 23 at the moment, so I would go to additional settings_sheet issues/revisions and add your desired content.
