File Crashing while Splitting Pipe

Hi,

We are working on Revit 2019.2.2. Whenever I split a few pipes in the project. I have added in the attachment where I have added one of the pipes that are causing the crash when splitting.

  1. Is there any way we can find out the exact root cause why is the element making the crash in the model.
  2. The workaround that I'm trying is Whenever I Reapply. Type and try to split it is not crashing the model.

cant find anything "wrong" with your pipe segment.

  • That said, i noticed if you temporarily remove the insulation from the existing segment, you will be able to split the pipe. then reapply the insulation as needed.
  • also, i placed a "new" piece pf pipe, add insulation, the newly placed pipe (with insulation) split with no issues.

for the second bullet point, i was just stating that i drew a new piece of pipe, using the same settings (Type, Size, Insulation, etc), and the new piece of pipe split fine.
