Family dimensions based on pipe outside diameter

I’m just double checking that I’ve got this correct - from this page pipe connectors contain information for Radius, Diameter, Inside Diameter but not outside diameter so if I want to base family geometry on outside diameter I need a lookup table or formula which relates OD to ND? 
Is that correct?
