Exporting 3D piping revit model to DWG CAD file using Design line concept.

Hello guys,

I am relatively new to this concept and want to know how does this works. Basically, I have a Revit model of piping systems which includes HVAC, waste, plumbing pipes etc. (You can see a screenshot of this attached as Image 1.) And I want to export this model to DWG CAD file. Here's the catch:

First, I want to export only system which is Green in color.(See attached Image 1.)
Second, the exported file should not look like as simple wire frame lines.  However, it should be using design line concept. (I am completely unaware of this concept.) (See attached image 2 for design line).

It would be really appreciable if anyone can explain me in detail how to do this.

Thank you.

Step one is to isolate the system you are trying to export, either through filters or just selection. Once the system is selected you need to use the RME to FAB add-in to store the design line elements. Once stored, use the Out command to export a .RIF file that can be opened in Fabrication CAD with the "Processrun" command that will open the design line.
