Export coordination model-nwc file export to another nwc

Hello I added a nwc coordination model in Revit 2020.2. I moved it since the elevation and E-W location was a little off. Is there a way to export this coordination file back out of Revit?

I don't want to export any Revit stuff, just the nwc I brough into Revit.

I tried without any view templates, various detail levels, as well as exporting as every possible option (nwc, dwg, dxf, dgn, acis (sat), dwf, dwfx, fbx).

Basically, can I take something from Navis, import to Revit, and export back out so I can re-load into Navis?

Iam not sure what you are trying to accomplish.

So you have a NWC (coming from navisworks) then load in it into Revit, export it again to reload it back into Navisworks?

So you already have a NWC to start with, so why load that one in into Navisworks?

If it is origin issue then fix it in in Navisworks or even better fix it in the modeling software. If you are not he source of the (wrongly?) offset navisworks model, then coordinate with the other party to agree on a fixed origin

I have a nwc that is placed basically at wrong elevation. I model with Revit so I can move the nwc to where it needs to be, but if I reload it, then it will go back to original spot. I don't have the original model to change the nwc.

Is there a way to export an nwc geometry back out of Revit? The file I got nwc from is a nwd and I basically hid unselected and exported a 3d dwf, then I opened the 3d dwf in Navis to get nwc, and finally loaded that nwc into Revit.

I can move the geometry in Navis, but I basically want to move it in Revit and re-export it out of Revit, then load back into Navis as a seperate nwc.

Sorry forgot to mention I'm using scans as well and I think it's easier to adjust this steel-structural beam in Revit with scans vs. Navis with scans. I could adjust in Navis, but basically scans are better in Revit for me (I think).

I am still at a loss about your intended workflow.

But to answer your question. No, a linked nwc can not be exported out of Revit as an nwc

Have you tried moving your origin point, to what the changes were in Navisworks?

That should move your project.

There are other items in Navis that are correct. I basically only want to move a single piece. I typically unload coordination files in Revit when not using so doens't slow Revit down. I basically want to move the single item to match scans so when I reload, it is in same spot, not the original (wrong spot).

I don't have access to the original model, just the nwd. I can move in Navis, but would be easier in Revit I think.

What is the element you are trying to move?

If you do not have access to the Revit model, you may need to reach out to the author, and see if anybody else has said anything about it not lining up.  If so then it would be a reason to get them to fix it.

The geometry is a structural beam. I'm in Navis now, but easier to see scans in Revit I think. I can move geometry in Navis and export, but was curious if could be done in Revit. I have my structural beam and scans in Navis and trying to line up the nwc so I can export again.

You can view Navis in Revit.

If you are wanting to export the Navis so you can manipulate the information in Revit, this is not something that can be done.

yeah it's easier to align stuff with scans in Revit I think, but I don't see an option to export anything but Revit stuff from Revit. Navis stuff can only be exported from Navis. Thanks for your help.

Correct you cannot export to Revit. In Revit you can link in the nwc (coordination model, this is done under insert) in Revit, but again it is only viewable you cannot modify it.
