Electric Rm Layout Design Option

I have a project that has an electric room with multiple switchboards, panel boards and transformers.

These are all circuited to each other and have multiple circuits connected that will not be part of the design option.

Between design and construction, the electrical equipment has grown in size and we need to revise the layout and possibly use the Design Options.

Is it possible to use Design Options with equipment that is circuited to other equipment that is not part of the option!

I have no electrical design options experience. But design options are intended for schematic design and mostly architectural features in early design stage. They don't handle the smart stuff well or at all. Like you couldn't create a panel schedule for option A and one for option B etc.

Revit Version: R2026.4
Hardware: i9 14900K, 64GB, Nvidia RTX 2000 Ada 16GB
Add-ins: ElumTools; Ripple-HVAC; ElectroBIM; Qbitec

Hello,

I suggest you copy your file and create a new file for the optional design.

I believe that you can circuit in design options, but all parts of the circuit have to be in the design option. You can't cross options. So if you have a switchboard in the main model, but sub panels in a design option, you cannot circuit the sub panels to the switchboard.
