Electric Panel Schedules - Last Row

That last row in the panel schedules really bugs me.   It doesn't need to be 3/4" tall  - with the header, and load summary, this takes up too much space.

It should be a simple matter to edit the height of the last row, but not so due to a apparent revit bug.   This has been happening for years, but most recently I'm using Revit 2020.

If I go to edit panel schedules, and try to change the height of the last row from 0.75" to something reasonable, like 0.25" or even 0.6", it gives an error that says its an invalid height.  It actually shows the min and max heights for a row, and either of those should be a valid number.

OK Revit, I'll just delete the whole **** row.   Now the bottom border is gone.  And another bug -  just keep trying to add a bottom border, and as soon as I press OK the border doesn't show up.  Go to edit borders again, and its not there.   It simply doesn't work.

After an hour or so of trying to delete and add rows and add a bottom border, I give up.   Back to a 3/4" bottom box for notes.

Any way to get Autodesk to fix bugs?  I know nobody from autodesk will read this, and apparently never use their own software or they would experience some of these bugs and then fix them.

Its just ridiculous that issues like this persist for years on end while they focus on other things .

This forum is for asking questions which most people do before claiming bug. You should probably verify your findings and make sure that it is indeed a bug before submitting a report.

If there is a simple solution, or if its not a bug and I'm doing something wrong, hopefully someone will post and let me know.   Until then, I'm going to assume its a bug.

Is there even a way to report a bug to Autodesk?

Hello,

If you are trying to remove the notes in the bottom, try the following setting:

I don't want the footer completely gone, I just want it smaller.   But your suggestion was worth a try.  I tired deleting and re-adding the footer, hoping it would make the height different.   No luck.

But I did find a way to get what I wanted.  It turns out the the bottom row is actually 4 rows merged together.  So the Error message says the minimum allowed row size is 0.1563, in this case its actually 4*0.1563 or 0.625 inches.   So it would have been nice if the error message included a note that "Merged rows may require more height." instead of just incorrectly telling me a number that was well within the allowed range is "too small".

So to make a long story short, unmerging the rows fixes issue #1.

I also found a solution for Issue #2.  Add additional rows to the bottom, and give one of them a TOP border instead of a bottom border.   Then delete the bottom rows and the row with the top border.  The top border becomes the bottom border for the row above it, and atlas, you have a bottom border.

You can also try adding bottom borders to rows above the bottom, and then deleting rows below, but this seems to be hit or miss.

I would be so nice if this just worked right.
