Dynamo Player Crash Error

Hi All,

I've encountered a strange error with regards to the Dynamo Player functionality from within Revit,

I'm running Revit version 2018.2 and Dynamo for Revit version 1.3.2

For some strange reason when I click on the Dynamo Player file button in Revit, the software lags for a bit, opens up the player and it then just disappears and then the Dynamo player button is grey'd out.

I have tried to uninstall both the Revit and Dynamo software to rectify this issue but to no avail,

Has anyone else encountered and found a fix for this error?

Kind regards,

Hello @Anonymous,

Try this:

if the player windows is off-screen somehow you can try to delete cache folder located here :
C:\Users\ <usename>\AppData\Local\dynamoplayer\
If that’s the issue it will reset player window position to default.

If my post answers your question, please click the "Accept as Solution" button. This helps everyone find answers more quickly!

I seem to be having the same or similar problem. I'm running Revit 2017.2, and Dynamo 1.3.2. Were you able to find a solution?

When I start Dynamo Player, the player icon grays out, the player pops up for a few seconds, then it closes. However, on my computer after the Dynamo Player closes, the player icon becomes available again.

I have tried deleting the User\App Data as suggested by @robert.klempau. A new set of files is created in the App Data folder, but the player still crashes.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Frank

Hi Frank,

I managed to get the issue sorted by completely uninstalling the Revit software and then reinstalling it,

Hope this brings you success with Revit 2017.2!

Hi Robert,

Thanks for the reply,

I did not try the solution you suggested as I managed to sort out the issue with the uninstall and reinstall of the Revit software,

From Franks' reply below it seems that it did not solve the issue,

Kind regards,
