Ductwork connection at 45 degree angle issues

Hi All

Could someone help me with a good way of creating a connection which sets off the main duct run at a 45degree angle like picture shown?

at the moment im having to go into section, draw a 45 degree detail line at the quadrant of the main duct side, move it half the duct dimension, so it sits in the ducts center(as revit won't find the duct center), then i can draw the duct along that line with ducts then i can connect it all up, now this dont work all the time and is highly fustrating. people in the office think im a lunitic?

Is there an easier way?

Thanks for the help. sorry if posted some where, i cant find anything.

Guy

Hi as ridiculous as it is I have found the easiest way to make this work although you shouldnt need to (Autodesk!!). Rotate the vertical circular duct you are trying to connect to from above by 45 degrees then drag horizontal duct into it and it connects with a shoe branch, I just had the same problem and that is the only thing that seems to work
