What standard are the ductwork libraries to, I found the below comment online, is this still correct;

The "US Content Extension for Revit MEP 2009" contains imperial and metric duct and pipe fitting families that adhere to SMACNA and ASME standards, respectively.

The "UK Content Extension for Revit MEP 2009" contains duct fitting families that adhere to the DW/144 UK industry standards.

To summarise, is;

  • Autodesk\RVT 2014\Libraries\UK = DW/144 standard
  • Autodesk\RVT 2014\Libraries\US Metric = SMACNA and ASME standards

Based on my experience, I don't think all Revit fittings comply with the standards.As an example if we take one of the Duct Y families.They are not built with respect to SMACNA or any other standards.I had to build my own new families to use them in the projects.

Thanks for the reply
After further investigation, I have established that the difference between the US and UK library is the naming of the families.
The UK long radius bend is the same as the UK medium radius bend which is incorrect.
