Displaying subcategory on a schedule

I have a project containing various Pipe Fitting items, which have been split into subcategory items e.g. pumps, valves, instrumentation etc, is there any way of getting the subcategory to display on the schedule as i would ideally like to be able to create individual schedules for each subcategory?

No, if the relevant parameter is not available in the fields than it can not be filtered on.

Your best option would be to add a shared parameter to your fitting families and add relevant data so that you can use that for filtering in your schedules.

Please mention Revit version, especially when uploading Revit files.

Thanks Louis,

I'll have a look into doing it via shared parameters
