Detail lines are all the same thickness/ using detail lines for drafting

hi! I'm working on transferring some details from AutoCAD to Revit. I put the AutoCAD link in a drafting view, then use "Annotate"> "Detail lines" > and use the "Pick Lines" tool to select the lines. I've been trying to use different line thicknesses (each color in the AutoCAD drawing represents a line thickness) but all the detail lines appear to be the same thickness. Light, medium, and thick look exactly the same. There are also some numbered lines but they don't correlate with the numbered lines I see when I go to "Manage"> "Additional Settings" > "Line Weights" > "Annotation Line Wights". I would like to be able to have different line thicknesses. Can I set line thicknesses somewhere? Are there other settings that affect this? I have a little video clip as well so what I'm struggling with can kind of be seen. any help is greatly appreciated!

Each Line Style shall have a Line Weight assigned to it. Go to Manage > Line Styles and look at the table and assign a different Line Weight to your Line Styles that need to be adjusted.

what are the dimensions of your detail? your detail scale is set 1"=1'. depending on the size of the detail, you may not be seeing the line weight differences.

  • if you zoom in do you start to see weights?
  • if you change the scale to 1/4"=1' do you start to see weights"
