Detail Line Not Visible in View

I tried putting a DL on the center of the generic equipment so I could delete the generic and center the "real" equipment where the generic used to sit, but I keep getting this error message every time I put in a dl.

I checked all the tabs in the VG's and I don't even see where the DL is even an option to turn on or off. I know it's probably something stupid that I should have thought of, but nothing comes to mind.

I just kept looking for detail line in the vg's. I didn't think if it being a subcategory of lines. I knew I was going to feel like an idiot on this one.
