I could try and ask my question(s) outright, but I feel more responses would be given asking why I'd desire such a solution, so instead I'll try to (as briefly as possible) give the scenario that our company (and hopefully others) are dealing with.
According to NEC 555.12, marina loads can be demanded based on the quantity of shore power receptacles. This is extremely crucial to electrical marina design, as it can save the owner incredible amounts of money on equipment and wire costs. This demand table can easily be built into a demand factor, which then can be loaded into a load classification.
As is typical on marinas, you'll often find a single pedestal, whether for one or more boats, that has multiple shore power receptacles within it. Almost without exception, industry standard has us specify a single unit with these multiple receptacles on it. To accurately show this on our plans, we should show only one piece of equipment, but for demanding purposes, we often need it to count two (or more) times towards our final "receptacle count", while still requiring the receptacles on a single pedestal to be on a single circuit.
Revit allows multiple electrical connections (and therefore multiple counts of the load classification), but I've not been able to find a way to power these multiple connections by the same circuit, as would be necessary for a single pedestal.
The only work around I've found thus far is dropping two pedestal families on top of each other, and then powering them from the same circuit. Is there not a way to either "trick" the quantity count into adding additional instances, or powering multiple connectors within a single family by a single circuit?
