Default Graphics Colors in Options

Can anyone tell me why the default colors in the Graphics section of the Options were changed so that the Selection and Pre-selection are the SAME? They used to be different since the beginning of time (Red and Magenta respectively), which is the way it should be for MEP. Then when all versions were rolled into one, the two default colors were made the same (Blue). This might be OK in the Architectural or Structural world, but it's absolutely imperative in MEP to tell the difference between an element that is Selected versus Pre-selected. I instruct new users to change the colors to whatever makes sense for them, but they should be different. Am I the only one that is annoyed by this change?

Hi,

I know this doesn't answer your question, but here is an article on how to control the color in your Revit.ini file.  This will hopefully make it easier when deploying reivt across multiple systems.

Hello,

You can change them in the options window.

Access it clicking on the top left icon (R until Revit 2017, from revit 2018 click on FILE under the R), select options, then choose GRAPHICS, then in colors you select the desired ones.

To make the same setting on many machines, changing Revit.ini is the easiest way.
