Cut Plane for Pipe Penetrations

I'm currently working on a Plumbing model in Revit. I was hoping to create a penetration plan by changing my view range to show pipes just above the slab level and exporting to DWG to dimension & tag the pipes. However, not all pipe penetrations show up. I can see pipes penetrating the slab in section view, but in plan view it seems random which pipes generate circles & which don't.

- All filters are proper.

- Pipes are visible when setting view range to regular values (0'-0" current floor to 0'-0" floor above w/ ~4'0" cut plan).

- Pipes of the same type, size, system type, etc., differ whether they show up or not.

- Changing the reference level to be the level of the floor plan worked to generate some of the missing pipes, but not all. (e.g. some pipes were referencing level 2, & changing them to reference level 1 created their drop symbol. However, other pipes had the same issue & workflow but still do not show up).

- I've quadruple checked my V/G settings and nothing seems out of place.

- Using Wireframe display (so nothing is simply covering the pipes...)

- Elements have not been hidden. Selecting view hidden elements does not generate the missing pipes.

I'm really flabbergasted by this. I am not a novice with Revit & this is the first time I've encountered a problem like this. I know I could physically place sleeves at each penetration and those should theoretically show up better, but I was hoping to save that effort.

What version of Revit are you using?

I'm using Revit 2019.2.

Over the weekend I thought of a sort of brute-force workaround by just using a 3D view & manipulating the section box.

I also noticed that for some reason, when I disconnected the undrawn pipes from the tees they were connected to a few feet above the floor, they suddenly became drawn. Some very strange behavior but no longer an issue, exactly.
