Custom Pipe/Duct System tag

Hello, I've Looked everywhere I can't find out how to do it.

I want to make a custom parameter that operates similar to system type/system abbreviation. I have made a shared parameter that sits in both the tag and the system type, but the tag won't pick up the information.

I cant get it show up from the system type to the pipe type, which would be the solution I think any suggests or if its even possible would be great to know.

Turn that shared parameter into a Project parameter and assign it to whatever category you want inc. pipes and ducts.

the shared parameter goes into the tag family and that should work.

Yeah I don't think adding a custom parameter to piping systems will do anything because there aren't tags specifically for pipe systems and revit won't pass the custom parameter through to all pipe tags, pipe fitting tags, pipe accessory tags, plumbing fixture tags, or plumbing equipment tags on the same system. You can make a custom parameter for pipes and put that in the tag, but it won't automatically update when you change the system type.

Can you explain this in more detail maybe use some graphics to illustrate what you are after?

Getting Pipe Type to match System Type is not a proper solution since different systems can have the same pipe type.
