Create Duct fitting schedule/takeoffs

Good afternoon, I'm trying to create a duct fitting schedule or take-off for HVAC duct fittings. The schedule it crates now shows the fitting size at both ends. I need to be able to show the "TAP" coming off a rectangular duct or a duct with the connection sizes on both ends. Example 6" tap coming off a 10" duct. I'm putting this information in my comments section of the Duct Fitting Schedule.

Anyone have a solution or ideas?

Add a shared parameter to the taps and fill in the relevant sizes.

If you have many of them it might be possible to use dynamo to automatically fill these values

Please mention Revit version, especially when uploading Revit files.

I have many different sizes that were created specific for a company. How would I go about adding parameters the simplest way possible?

I would prefer NOT to use Dynamo, the company, not everyone involved in this project knows Dynamo.

Thanks

-Use a shared parameter
-In the family make a formula for the shared parameter. If you are doing standard sizes do a long if-then formula. If(angle<15, “stuff to appear for small angle fitting”, if(angle=15, “stuff to appear for 15 angle bend”.....you get the flow.
-This will make a column on a schedule automatically that you can use for scheduling or anything else
-Try and avoid uhaving user-input text. This gives room for error and changes to forget something. Use the formulas to do your work for you

I need to create a column in Duct Fitting Schedule or create a shared parameter where a "TAP" comes off a main I can reference the size the tap is coming off at one end and what the size is the tap is connecting to the other end.

For example; I've used a "Round Take-off Conica 8"dia." it connects to a 12"x14" rectangular duct and then continues with a 8"dia duct branch from there.

I want to be able to show on a schedule that one end connects to 12"x14" and the other is 8", the schedule just shows what size the "Round Take-off Conica" is"

I need this information for my field guys to know where it goes, right now I'm putting that information in the comments box. too much unnecessary typing.
