create a 3 slot (pole) SPARE or SPACE in a Panel Schedule

We'd like to show a 3 POLE SPARE in a Panel Schedule. Is that possible with the SPARE or SPACE command?  If so, how?

You will need to create three spaces/spares and for convenience group them.

AFAIK you can´t make them look like a single cell.

Hi Judy, great to hear from you again.  This appears to be what we are looking for, but our custom Panel Schedule does not have the 'Poles' column. Is there any other way to adjust this value?

I'm assuming by making this a '3' Revit automatically generates the two rows of dashes shown below the Spare listing (as shown on the image in your link), is that correct?

Hi, Dustin!

Indeed, Revit does automatically generate the two rows of dashes. You do need the Poles column to make the 3-pole spare work, but I found that if I edit the panel schedule template, I can delete the header and the values from the Poles column and shrink it widthwise to make it pretty narrow (but not invisible like you can in Excel). Here's a screenshot to show the result - maybe this will be helpful. Let me know what you think!

One idea, I have created two panel schedules, one for data editing and one for document.

Exchanging them has proved harmless so far.

So you can create a panel schedule with poles column and another one without, and check if exchanging them affects your data.

Yes, creating a 'working' schedule and 'Printing' schedule does work in this scenario. Using the 'Change Template' command to switch temporarily to alter the '# of Poles' in the default 'Branch Panel' schedule provided by Autodesk, then changing back to our customized Panel Schedule will then show the 3 Pole Spare as one combined cell, as we desire!  (I'm assuming the electrical setting that combines multi-pole circuits must be enabled, but that's OK, its our standard).   Thank you both for your input. This is what I was looking to achieve!

If you assign a "spare" or "space to the top ckt. of the "2" or "3" pole breaker, you can then change the number of poles that it has if you select the field.

Can we combine these circuit numbers 9,11,13 as only 9 when we merge into single cell?

@Naveen_Chinnaswamy    It appears not, for me it just put  9,11,13 into the single cell instead of spreading them across the 3 rows. It appears to be listing the slots, not the breakers themselves. My guess is the next question is "if those 3 slots are only 'circuit 9' what is the correct next circuit: 11 or 15?". Slippery slope.
