I was student for revit MEP
I linked an architecture revit file in my MEP project
The project opened by electrical template .
The central file having 6 level( 6 floor) but in the MEP it shows only two levels. It shows under elextrical/lighting/floor plans/ 1- lighting, 2- lighting same in under power 1- power, 2- power.
I would like to copy the levels which was in architecture file into MEP file in same name like ground floor, first floor ,etc .. Is it any possible to get in under lighting floor plans and also power floor plans

Hi!

You can use Copy/Monitor in your electrical model to make a reference between the architectural model and yours. It will create a relationship between A-model and your model. If any Level is adjusted in A-model you will get a notification about it and can do a coordination review.

This is easiest to do in an elevation view so open one. Make sure that the levels in A-model are visible in the view.

Go to ribbon Collaborate, Copy/Monitor and click select link. Click on the linked model. Now you will get a temporary ribbon, here you can choose Copy or Monitor (among other functions). I choose Copy, then I get a set of my own levels in my model and they are monitoring the levels in the linked model. Telling you if anything changes are done.

Click on Copy or Monitor and select the levels you need.

If any name on your level and the name of the linked levels correspond they will automatically create a relation between each other. If they don't correspond Revit will create a new level with the same level name as in the linked model. This can result in that the two levels you have from scratch is useless afterwords. Then just delete them.

When you have picked desired levels, click Finish.

If Revit has created new levels, they are right on top over A-model's, just click and drag them away from each other.

Now you can have some blue level symbols and some black. Black means that there are no view corresponding to that level, you need to create them from view ribbon and Plan Views. Blue shows that there are corresponding views.

Good luck and I hope you understand what I'm trying to explain. 🙂

Kind regards,
Lotta
