Copy Monitoring from multiple linked models

I have inherited a model in which the levels have been copy monitored from the Architect's linked models. There are five linked models and the copy monitoring has been done, not from a single model, but from multiple models. Possibly for good reasons in the first place. Now I come on the scene at this stage and I want to know which level is copy monitored from which model. How do I do this?

How did you determine that they were being copy monitored from different models?

Hi Rob,

The levels in the Arch models differ between the models but they have the same name in some cases.  Different names in other cases.  Some of the levels in the MEP model follow one set of levels in corresponding models but others follow different ones.  So it is not easy to check what is going on.

You could temporarily change the names of the levels and find out which ones are affected by the change with a coordination review.

There were no other suggestions, so I just used the method suggested by RobDraw.

This revealed that all of the levels were copy/monitored from only one of the linked files.

It was just the case that the lower levels matched the model that they were copied from, but the higher levels matched the other models.

I shall also add something to the Revit wish list.   This will request a new parameter to record the name of the originating file for copy/monitored objects.
