I work with a supermarket company and am heading the change over to Revit from AutoCad. The MEP consultants will probably by changing over as well so I want to setup our supermarket fixture families to be able to take advantage of the copy\monitor tool in Revit. So I am making the fixtures as electrical equipment or mechanical equipment (one of the categories that works with Copy\Monitor) and any fixture that doesn't use MEP services as Specialty Equipment. However, I'm not a MEP engineer so I don't know how to setup the electrical\mechanical services in the families or might do it wrong. The solution to this is to use the family mapping that the Copy\Monitor tool has so the MEP consultants can have their own libraries with proper MEP information and we have a different library BUT we have 1000's of fixtures in our library.
The question I have is once the family mapping is setup, can this information be saved to a template or does it need to be done in each project?
