cooling load is negative in building envelope !

Hello !

when i create a load calculation for heating, cooling, and airflow ,  After analytical spaces are assigned, with revit 2023 there are not acceptable results with minus sign in the cooling load in building envelope  !

can someone help me please!

I'm pretty sure that means there is a conductive loss through those elements at that particular hour.

I've seen similar in IESVE.

I have errors that show '' Warning ** GetVertices: Floor is upside down!(see the screenshots) I believe that these errors caused the problem too but even after research I can not manage to correct them.

Can you help me if these errors cause this problem !

Can you post the model and any relevant links to your Autodesk Drive account, and share a link to the models in a reply?

 

I'll be traveling to NY the next couple of days but will try to look into this and see what the problem is. Can you let me know if you have the latest Revit update applied? 2023.1.1 is the one to have. Please also let me know where the models are currently stored - Windows Server/Autodesk Docs/BIM 360 or somewhere else such as a NAS/SAN appliance, OneDrive, Sharepoint, etc.

Those errors most likely are contributing to the problem - by any chance were any of these objects copy/pasted into the project? Was this an older project that was upgraded to 2023? Where any of the objects originally placed from a group?

yes sir i have the latest updated version revit 2023.1.1 .
at the beginning I encountered a lot of problems but after tests and using the forum I managed to correct the severe and fatal errors which stopped the calculation execution process, I used the room space mode for the analytical model (I had to remove some spaces which generate errors and they are useless for me) . I went through all the steps (type of space, type of construction, type of condition, etc.), I chose the sizing and loads workflow for the air conditioning and ventilation systems and the report is finally generated (after 3 weeks of testing ) .
unfortunately there are values ​​in the building envelope part for the cooling case which are illogical with minus sign and it is impossible since the cooling loads in this case must be positive since the outside temperature is already very high. I actually haven't found any solution. I need some help please.

For the peak cooling load hour what is the outdoor temperature and what is the indoor temperature?

Depending on solar gains, internal loads and time lags of constructions it is possible that the peak hour does not coincide with the time of peak outdoor temperature and therefore it is actually possible to get conduction losses during the peak hour.

it is possible in the case of heating but in the case of cooling it is rare to find during the peak hour that the outdoor temperature is lower than the indoor temperature but this is not the case here.
since in our case the cooling and even in the moment of peak the outdour temperature is always much higher than the indoor temperature.
therefore the cooling load must be positive in this case.
moreover I am talking about the envelope and these different components, is not a single component but several (doors, walls, partition, floor ..) which seems illogical to me.

in the error report and in the severs errors it always tells me to use output Diagnostic Display Extrawrnings for explicit details on each problem .

But I can't find it. Is it being downloaded or what? Can you help me please!
