Column Gridlines in linked files

Hi, I'm having an issue with the gridlines of my linked file. Listed here are the steps we have, do hope someone can help.
1. Build a link file for Block Plan with all the grids for sections neatly arranged.
2. Link the Block Plan to Site Plan to consolidate the sheets.
3. Eyeball the Same section cutting plane from the Block Plan to the Site Plan then change VGs to linked view (while everything else in the Site Plan turned off).
4. Everything goes well and the section is exactly the same as the Block Plan.
5. Problem comes in when we reopen and reload the file (Site Plan) because all the Column Grids that we excluded and turned off from the Block Plan suddenly appear!

Any help will be great! Thanks!!

I'm not 100% sure I'm following everything you listed.  Its hard to tell which file is the "linked" file, and which one is the file with the link (the linking file.)

But you said you "change VGs to linked view".

That's different than just linking on Revit file into another.   If you use a linked view, the view graphics are controlled in the linked model.  If the column grids are turned on in the linked model, they will be on in your working file.

Is there a reason you want to use a "linked view", and not just link the model?
