Change colour of component in project?

Hi, i'd like to change to red the colour of the component you can see in the attached project...the component has been imported from a dwg file, i've placed some connectors and so on ..but i'd like to change the appearance from the current grey to red ... i'm pretty new to revit, i've watched some youtube videos where you can operate on parameters, object style or materials but i can't see all the options available in these tutorials.. thanks in advance

and in general where what's the best and simple way to change appearance of lines, solids and so on?

in the view you want to change colors type in "VG" visibility Graphics

select the imported Categories from the window select the plus sign to expand the list.

find the layer the elements is on and change the properties of that LayerCHANGE COLORS.PNG you can change other properties here too

not too sure here but if you look at the source (3d ACAD) see how those surfaces ae defined and translate the info in Revit can you tab select the surfaces? and isolate them to identify any properties?

Solved but not your way I saw this post https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/revit-architecture-forum/can-t-change-colors-of-imported-cad-objects/... and the answer that helped say: "Next time, just import CAD as black and white instead of keeping colors or inverting colors. Then you can change them to gray freely without editing
the CAD file to Color by Layer. Or even check one box abd make it halftone. "

so the solution for everyone wondering is --->  import CAD--> IMPORT CAD AS BLACK AND WHITE ---> manage--> imported object--> select layer -->  now it unlock the option material for the select layer (checked) -->  on the material column go to the layer selected and click on the three dots---> create new material --> on graphics go to shadows and select the colour wanted, in the same way on appearance, on generic select the colour wanted --> apply

thanks however for your help ..

probably this can also be done with AutoCAD with layer as your post says here in the solution: https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/revit-architecture-forum/can-t-change-colors-of-imported-cad-objects/...
