Can't Change System Type

I have a mechanical piping model and a plumbing model. I need to be able to work on both of them in the same model, so I linked the plumbing model into the mech piping model, binded the link, and ungrouped it, so now essentially they are one model combined together. However, it seems like some of the system types for piping didn't transfer with it's associated piping. In the stand alone plumbing model everything is correct - but some of the domestic col water pipes are reading as sanitary pipes and I am unable to change the system type. Can someone tell what is the reason?

When you bound the link the systems would have been rebuilt.

The system type would normally be read from the connectors in the Plumbing Fixtures so maybe some of them have the wrong classification?

If you upload your model we can take a look inside it.

Give this a try.

  • Do a Transfer Project Standards from the Pipe model
    • CHECK NONE
    • Only pick the "Pipe..." options.
      • there should be about 5 of them.
  • Then... Link and Bind the other model.
