Can not change the Nominal Diameter

Why I could not change the "Nominal Diameter" to 20mm even I have ticked the "instance" in parameter?

Presumably its controlled by the connected pipe size?

Have you linked the connector to the size? You can check by clicking the connector and on the properties of that connector the size has a little radio button. Once clicked, you can pick the size parameter value and load back into your project.
