Best Revit viewer for non-Revit users?

Hi All,

I'm looking for the best/easiest to use viewer. I need it for our M&E Engineers, who don't use Revit to be able to view the models I am working on and are sent to us by Architects.

I'm aware of the different options and we're 'trialing' a couple in the office but just wondered if anyone had any similar experiences?

Thank you.

Revit might be the best option. Even without a license, it can be used as a viewer.

Drafting is a breeze and Revit doesn't always work the way you think it should.

hi @Anonymous

You don't have to mess with any Revit product.. the following viewer is the most easiest and will satisfy all your needs.

Revit MEP - Electrical Certified Professional
Revit MEP - Mechanical Certified Professional

Hello @Anonymous,

As @RobDraw mentioned, you could use the Revit Viewer. Just install Revit. after the Trail period you can still open models for viewing.

But there are more viewers.

Have also a look at: https://www.autodesk.com/viewers/all-viewers

Two questions:

Do they need to view the actual Revit model (and do they have access rights to do so)?

Do they need to view the bleeding-edge up-to-the-moment contents, or is a "daily snapshot" acceptable?

Is it possible with the Autodesk Viewer at viewer.autodesk.com to link view multiple linked models at once? For example, I have been given models for architectural, structural, interiors, electrical, etc.  I can currently open one at a time, but not all together.
