Attic Door Not showing Up on Floor Plan View

I am having trouble getting a specific Attic Door to show up on our floor plan.
the linked architectural bldg itself is split into two views, each of then containing an attic hatch. I'm using the same View template on both views but the attic hatch shows up in one and not the other.
If i were to make a section of the linked model I am able to see both attic hatches just fine with the only exception being the one that does show up opens upward. The height itself is the same and so is the hatch family model.
Also, if i click and drag on the middle mouse button, I am able to see the hatch appear as it should, but then goes away again once i let go. I've noticed the middle button thing on a couple of other instances were i needed something to appear in a floor plan, what does this mean? Is there any way this can trouble shoot?
I can hover tab even though the hath isn't there and it tells me it's under "Specialty Equipment" and mounted at 13' 6". One thing I did notice is that the Host is different in the hatch, but i dont know if that makes any difference. They are both hosted on a ceiling though, the only difference being one swings open upwards and the other downwards.
Here are the things i've already tried doing to get it to show up:
1. I made sure both hatches were in the same workset within the linked model
2. I tried every different View range combination available to make it show up
3. I checked to see if it wasn't hidden in view.
4. I turned on/off ceilings, roofs, or anything remotely close to the hatch in VG
5. i made all the ceilings transparent in case it was obstructing it from showing up in floor plans.
6. Made sure specialty equipment is turned on in the Arch Link's VG.
7. Tried to Copy monitor the Hatch but Revit wouldn't let me.
I am out of ideas, it is definitely not a view range issue but if there is something I'm missing please let me know. I ended up drawing a rectangle in the hatch location, but i'd like to know how to make it show up for future reference given I seem to have spent most of my Revit drafting making things "show up". I could also transfer a view template that shows the hatch from the architectural file, but i don't want to remake all the other changes i made to my view template. Which goes to my next question, Is there a way to only transfer a specific part of a view template like ceilings? I already made sure all the settings are the same, but maybe i'm missing something.
I'm also fairly new at Revit so sorry if this is a simple question
thanks
