A lighting fixture is present in a RCP and Section View but is not selectable in the RCP

Pretty much the title. I am working on a project that has multiple floors. I've inserted the lights in their respective areas and they show up in BOTH the RCP and Section view I create. However, I cannot select the fixture in the RCP, even after checking my View Range and everything. I can however click on the light in the section and it will be selected in the RCP. I can make and unmake Sections and select the lights just fine, yet when I go to click them on my RCP, Revit acts like the space is blank.

I feel like I am missing something. Any advice would be appreciated!

Something else is maybe in front of it and blocking you from selecting it - the ceiling maybe?

Try hovering the cursor over the fitting and tabbing to cycle through possible selection objects to see if it eventually highlights.

What is the view discipline of the RCP? 

If possible upload the model or a slimmed down version of the model.

I tab and click on the fixtures and nothing comes up, I get the blank sound when I do this. I can select tags and other elements that are not fixtures.

My disciplines are under the Electrical category with my subdiscipline being lighting. I unfortunately can't upload the model due to some work constraints.

However, I feel like I am missing something. How would one go to check if there is a ceiling in the way?

Without the model (or a sanitised copy of the model to remove any sensitive information) I can't assist you any further.

Perhaps someone else knows how to answer this.

Have you double checked your detail view setting, depending on how the family is set up you need to make sure you are on Fine to be able to see the family in 3D or section.

In visibility graphics check if there is any CAD in imported categories. If its there uncheck the CAD. Try underlaying all the links. Try unchecking mass and topography. Hope this helps.

Have you tried setting the view to Wireframe?
