3D View Visibily Issue - Help

Hi,

Hope anyone can help me on my issue. 

My 3D view currently is not showing anything within it. It's odd because when I export the 3D view to Navis, I can see everything even though it did not show in my Revit 3D view.

To rectify this issue, I tried a variety of solution, none of which worked. 

I deleted all my 3D views and created a new view, adjusted crop views, adjusted selection box, looked at hidden elements, changed the detail level, changed the visual style, looked into visibility graphics and made sure all model boxes were ticked and using many other methods I still could not rectify this issue. 

I am using Revit 2017.

Can someone please help?

-Create a fake selection box of the area (go a plan view, select the elements and then type 'BX' - if they then show, uncheck selection box in 3D properties) - This will ensure that you are specifying the actual elements you need and with force the view to include them, where as just creating a new 3D view may not show desired area for some reason

-Try applying your plan view View Template temporarily to the View. 

-If you have 2018 or later try upgrading the Model (to confirm it is the Model, not your instance of 2017)

-Make sure Phasing settings are correct (Show ALL)

-Check Disciplines, perhaps 'Coordination' might be the best

-Make sure no Filter, Option, or Workset overrides are present 

-Select a element in a plan view with the windows tiled of the 3D view and see if there is a object selected in the 3D view

Thanks for your suggestions Joel, unfortunately, none of them worked. 

I have already tried all the suggestions apart from upgrading the model to 2018 as I do not have that software. 

Also regarding your last point when I switch my window from plan to 3d the objects are selected meaning the items are in the view but not visible for some reason. 

I'm quite confused as my 3d view has got the same settings that I've used for numerous project and iv never had this issue.

-Run an 'Audit' on the Revit Model - Open - Audit

-Purge Unused- maybe there is an unwanted element someone could of brought in from a family or something

-Start a new Revit template and have the two projects open in the same instance. Try copying some elements and pasting to the current view in the new project's floor plan to the new project and see if the 3D view there is still not showing correctly.

-Try various scales on the view, make sure Part Visibility is correct, 

-Link the current project that is not displaying right into another project in 17

-Perhaps try turning off 'Mass' in the View Template or all but one category, sometimes an objects could be masking

-Run an eTransmit of the project that purges and reopen in the eTransmit location.

All I can think, it shouldn't be this complicated.

I opened another project that had similar co-ordinates as the one I was working on and copied a family over to see if it would be visible, after this it still wasn't visible even though I could click on it. Then I deleted the view and created a new 3d view, and i kept clicking on zoom extents and kept rotating the view. After that, i noticed there is something in the middle, so i deleted the view and created a new 3D view which for some strange reason worked, and everything was visible.

Honestly not sure what had happened here. I'm assuming it was a glitch within the software as I have had experiences similar to this in the past four years I have used Revit.
