2016 R2 View Range Dialog

Hello,

I'm not sure if I'm missing something obvious, but the new view range image in 2016 R2 doesn't appear to make any distinction between a plan view and an RCP.  I was hoping it would help to demystify RCP view range settings, but with an RCP active, my installation appears to show an image that shows settings for a plan view.

Should it show a different image for an RCP?

Hello,

RCP is totaly different in compare with plans.

View range for plans and RCP must have a different setting for optimal use.

Here i will post you a pic's with a simple explanetion about view range and settings parameters in plan and RCP.

Hi Iliev, thanks for the input, your images confirm what I thought and are very useful.

For reference, I've included screenshots from R2 showing the view range sample for both an RCP and a Floor Plan:

RCP:

Floor Plan:

Floor Plan View Range.PNG

As you can see there is no difference in the images.

Hi colin.magner,

Thanks a lot for the feedback. This image sample for RCP view definitely caused some confustion for users. I have reported this to development team to hope there could be some improvement for the image sample in future.

Thanks.

Just checking out Revit 2017, and the graphic in the dialog is still identical for plan and RCP. Thanks for this graphic, much easier to understand.
