Absolutely. It's very frustrating that all elements within a group are placed on the same workset. Groups should work more like blocks in Autocad, where each element has its own layer, regardless of the block's layer. This really affects working with worksets. Sometimes you need different elements in a group, like walls and doors and finishes, and we usually have designated worksets for each of those categories, but with the group feature, we need to place all elements on a single workset. This needs ti be fixed.
Being able to modify the workset of model elements within a group element is crucial.
Not being able to is horrendous for model health. Users will model something quickly in a group while forgeting to modify the workset before modeling. The model element is then stuck on the incorrect workset and cannot be changed unless you copy in place the same element, but obviously you loose ALL annotations relating to it. Extremely inconvenient. These are ceiling groups where a few ceilings were modeled on the wrong workset.
