When printing to PDF, convert revit references to hyperlinks.

Why is it, that within Revit, we can easily click on references and we jump to that view, but then when we print to PDF those links are all lost?  A PDF should retain those links so that navigating the PDF set of drawings is just as easy.  Currently we have to redo these links with 3rd party products like Bluebeam.

Does this function not currently exist?  Just tried with two PDF drivers and worked to generate links within the PDF created.  No updates/process run after generating.

@Anonymous Really?  I've never had that happen.  What two drivers did you use?  What was your process exactly?  That would be so exciting if it did.

Hyperlinks in PDF prints have been supported since Revit 2015 for any PDF print driver that supports bookmarks. There is not a way for Autodesk to add the functionality for PDF printers that do not.

Here in the help link with some suggestions or you should be able to find if a specific printer supports this in their documentation.

@kimberly_fuhrman-jones - Thanks for moving my post, but my post isn't to retain the hyperlinks that are created within Revit, I am wanting to not have the PDF's inserted or linked into Revit, be raster images and instead have the PDF's inserted just pass-through the Revit printing process.. i.e. the PDF that is inserted or linked, is in it's original format when you print the Revit set or sheet that contains the PDF insert/link..
