Wall reveals

It would be great if you could add a wall reveal material line item to the wall type such as a wall base reveal or be able to paint it separately or change the material without having to take the time create split regions. This way you could have a different color wall base in different rooms, without having to create a separate wall types, or taking the time to put in wall sweeps or having to add separate reveals from the wall. This way it's part of the wall type but able to change colors/materials. this would also be good if it worked for revels for crown moldings at ceilings or chair rails. This way it would be part of the wall.

If you are adding something to the wall type and then want it to be different in other rooms, you will ultimately have to have another wall type. The split region command in the wall takes virtually no time and you could set the base(in your example) as a default material and then go around and paint all those faces with your paint brush if you are trying to schedule materials. So as it is currently designed I think it does what you need, unless I am not understanding what you are asking for?

What I want to be able to do is add reveals to the wall type, like a floor base, a chair rail, and crown moldings, and be able to select each one separately from the wall type, or be able to give each reveal it's one properties and material.... So I can have the wall base say a rubber dark brown, the chair rail a beige  wood color and the crown molding a painted white color, and the wall another color. This could be a setting in the wall type properties, where you add reveals to the wall and each reveal has properties and materials that could be added, or if it could be made selectable, a way to paint each one separately.
