Update Linked Files Path without Actually Reloading the Links

I think it would be very useful to be able to change the path of a link without actually having to reload the link.  This would allow quick re-pathing when one is migrating a model from one place to another.  It would also make it easier for someone receiving a model from a third party to quickly reconstruct the link topology.

We currently us the External Access Links Manager on the Autodesk Apps store, but would very much like to see this capability added directly to Revit and not provided by a 3rd part.  If a server is replaced (new name) or you change from Fully Qualified Domain Names to Short Names then you need to reset all of the links.

Thanks for taking the time to submit your idea. Unfortunately, this idea did not get the support of the community over the last 6 months and as such we will not be pursuing it at this time. Please feel free to rework (titles and clear descriptions are really important) and resubmit this one down the road.
