Transparent Display STyle

Transparent Display STyle

A visual style (ie. realistic. hidden line, shaded) that allows things like walls to be transparent, similar to when you select a wall and can see through it. Wire frame allows this however is very hard to distinguish items in that view.

You should be able to do this with a View Template?

Yes that is possible, however we are looking for the convenience of being able to switch back and forth from display styles when modelling to quickly see the interior of the building for example rather than turning off the walls, hiding them or using the section box.

I see your point, since other programs have something similar.  What's nice about view templates is you can modify what is & isn't transparent.  If both view templates control the same thing its easy to switch back and forth.  I usually have elements like ceilings, roofs, walls and floors with some degree of transparency, but not other elements.   With a template I can modify it as I model, which I couldn't do with a regular setting..

By keeping a number of standard templates you can quickly switch back and forth.
Another option is keeping different views althougheter, switching between views, even viewing them side by side.
