There must be a way to insert terrain points in Toposolid by clicking on a 3D point of a point cloud (3D laser scanner) with the correct height (from point cloud)!
Object snap currently allows clicking a 3D point of a point cloud, but when inserting the terrain point, only the position in xy is taken, but the height is not used (only absolute or depending on the setting...).
This should actually be a basic function in a 3D program?!
Currently, for example, terrain points have to be set on section lines, which are then brought to the correct height in the section views (approximately). This has to be repeated at regular intervals, which is of course time consuming. However, this is usually faster than using other software (e.g. Civil3D) to clean up the point cloud, extract the terrain, etc., especially if the terrain does not have to represent every little stone.
