Many firms have templates (and thus projects) which already have custom graphics settings and graphic overrides for the Topography category. When upgrading a Revit model into 2024 and later from a version before Toposolids, please copy the Topography category styles and overrides to the Toposolid category. Most views will want to hide/override the two categories in similar ways. While the two categories are subtly different, reusing a project file's styles and overrides for the Topography category is a more useful starting point than "on and no overrides" in every view.
For example, most building plan views ("First Floor Plan") will want to hide all site objects, including both Topography and Toposolid objects. Many firms will have the Topography category hidden from their building plan views. If such a firm upgrades a file with a Topography object, and then converts the Topography object to a Toposolid, the Toposolid will be visible in all building plan views because the Toposolid category defaults to "on".
While some subcategories do not map cleanly between the two categories, transferring graphics styles for <Hidden Lines>, Primary Contours, and Secondary Contours would be helpful.

Related question: I don't like having an Object Style for the Topography category when I cannot create Topography objects in Revit 2024. Could the legacy Topography category be removed from all user-facing menus, with Topography objects following the Toposolid styles as a fallback? Maybe for the 2026 release? I don't want a Topography category visible to the user in Revit 2034, ten years after the removal of Topography creation tools.
