Too short/ too narrow lists of views

Hello Revit Community,
I would like to share a few ideas for improving the basic operating in Revit. I will present them in this and next posts.

Too short / too narrow lists of views:
Too narrow lists result in problems with selecting desired View because displayed is only a part of the name of the view. In the era of large monitors there is no point making windows small. This window in the screenshot should have automatically adjusted width to the length of the containing text or at least adjustable bottom corner like windows explorer

I do myself some Programming (but for Autocad). Below is an example of the program that I wrote (only for Autocad) where the Popup Window adjusts its length to shop the full name based on the number of characters.

@andkal ,

What version of Revit are you using? In Revit 2026, the button you point to shows a list of the open views (full titles). Right-click on the ViewCube to select "Orient to View" brings up a list of full view titles. See below.

I use a command "Orient to other View" and the window that that command opens is to narrow as shown in revit 2026.

@kimberly_fuhrman-jones@andkal uses a view naming standard apparently that makes the view names really long.  What they are looking for here is an expandable window (auto or manual) so that the window can expand the width.

What the image in the original post is showing is actually two different areas...  the Orient to view dialog window and the drop down to show additional open tabs in the canvas.  Because their view names are so long, it doesn't show the actual part that defines what the view is.
