When calling off rebar, sometimes if there are bars above or lapping we need to identify the start and end points of the bar and tag it at the same time, this is known as Tick and Tag, Tekla Structures has this feature and this is available in CADDS RC addin and Sofistik addin.
When rebars are modelled, it can be difficult to show bars behind others in section. I'd like to see a tick and tag annotation function to fix this. It is desperately needed, especially for any complicated rebar cages. See liftpit foundation below for example.
The displace function would only be suitable for the simplest of rebar cages. Most of the time it's necessary to show where the bar ends behind another and indicate the rebar number.
