Temporary reference plane

Temporary reference plane

I find that I use a lot of reference planes when I am designing, and they clutter the drawing view, so I go through and every now and then I go through and delete them all, but sometimes I will delete one I want to keep.  Could we maybe have a second class of reference plane "temp. ref. plane", and then a "delete all temp ref planes command".

You probably know this already, but you can create sub-categories of Reference Planes from your Object Styles dialog.  That would fix the first issue, but being able to delete the reference planes by category poses an issue.

If you delete the sub-category from the Object Styles menu, it just transfers the current reference planes in that category back to the default one (Instead of deleting them).  So maybe it should be the ability to right-click, select-all reference planes of a particular sub-category.  I feel like that could function pretty well and get you what you want.

I mean, currently you can't even select all reference planes in a project other than dragging over everything and filtering everything else out.  So that functionality should exist regardless.

No I didn’t realize that. Thanks for the info. Much appreciated.

Also, you can pin the reference planes that you want to keep and those cannot be deleted unless you unpin first.  That may be one of your best options.  but I really would like to see a "Select All-In entire Project" function for reference planes.  I'll have to see if that idea is out here somewhere.
