Tag Label Leader/Border Offset for Leader regardless of Show Border value - Like Text

Tag Label Leader/Border Offset for Leader regardless of Show Border value - Like Text

In a Tag Label, if "Show Border" is OFF, the "Leader/Border Offset" value is ignored for Leaders. Instead, the "Show Border" value should not affect the "Leader/Border Offset" so that Leaders are offset by that value. This is the way it works in Text with the same parameter names.

Is that how it works?

The years i've spent wondering why that doesn't work properly...

Someone is likely to come across this idea when searching for a solution to this issue. There is no solution yet (please vote). The only workaround that works in most conditions is to turn "Show Border" ON and make the border Color value White. Again, this is a workaround, not a solution, and it looks bad if the label overlaps other objects. Also, depending on your tag's line weight, it might display a dot at the tail of the leader where it crosses the white border.

Other weirdness:

1) Tried adding two or three spaces in tag family label Prefix and Suffix, but Revit only added space at Prefix.
2) Lineweight parameter value in tag family is overridden by "Manage | Object Styles | Annotation Styles | Material Tag" value. I'm sure this is by design, but why have that parameter in the family if it is always overridden in the model?
3) If label is set to opaque and border is on, the opaque background does not extend to the border. Text objects have the same issue.
