System materials <By Family Type>

It could be a very nice feature if the materials on Duct/pipe systems could be set by the family type material.

Pipe types has a material, and we user different types in the same system, that not very representatively.

Agree.

Once a user set material for a pipe or duct system, all components' material will be set by this value, including pipe segment, pipe fittings and accessories. 

However, pipe accessories, such as valves, and gauges usually have different materials.

So, if Revit could set pipe/duct segment materials by type would help users to better use material in the next rendering step.

Otherwise, Revit could modify existing feature on Material effects on System, make it not to apply for pipe accessories.
