Did you mean:

swap "Area Plan" for "Room Plan"

swap "Area Plan" for "Room Plan"

Area plan and "Room plan" (standard plan view) should be swappable like a type.

Currently, you need to select to make either a Plan view (which will show room, but not areas) OR an Area Plan (which will show Areas and not Rooms). switching one to another means practically remake all the work on a layout from scratch (annotations, view specific settings, lineworks, etc).

I wish a view is a view, and you can easily select to display either Room or Areas.
(yes, you can force an Area plan to show rooms, but it won't show color overlay)

More info:
happen on a project where we started using rooms. as the project progressed and we need to fine tunes how the areas are calculated, rooms were not suitable anymore. we need to have calculation in between walls for inner partition, but all the way to the external side of the building enclosure (that is the Dubai way). only way to deal with that with rooms is to have a room separator on the outer line of the wall, and about 700 "room separator is overlapping with walls" errors, countless "room separator overlap" and several rooms which failed to calculate properly.
At that point we had to swap to Area Plans instead and we basically had to replicate the whole fine tuning of the graphical element to a new layout, relinking all linked drawing.

Also, possibility to swap different style of area plans half way!
