Currently RVTs, DWGs, keynotes and assembly codes are supported for cloud pathing (Autodesk Desktop Connector). Material libraries (.adsklib) are currently not supported for cloud pathing
I created BIM 360 project call material library. Then, I added additional rendering path to Revit.ini file using Autodesk desktop Connector. It works but there are some annoying process that you need to take. Accessing BIM 360 folder with Autodesk desktop connector to download file in order to cache them in before you open the Revit. You need to do this every single day before opening Revit session. However, you won't have missing link any more during your rendering.
I think having cloud path for materials will be huge help since everyone needs to work from home these days.
Like many, our office is currently working from home. We use Enscape for our renders and we like to create materials using .jpg images and .jpg bumps etc. We share our files through a cloud and every time we upload/download updated revit files the materials are lost. It makes coordinating project renderings very tedious and time consuming with lots of 'doubling up' of work.
We too are using Enscape hosting our Revit materials on the cloud. Its has presented many challenges. Enscape crashing as materials are not loading properly.
