Split slab for volume calculating etc.

Parts is't best chois because, reinforcement can't be copyed from part to part. Want to get two seperate elements like as split tolol for framings and walls.

Thanks for likes, Gatis

Hi Gatis,

The problem with copying rebar inside part has been solved in R2018.2.

Kind regards,

Hi Bogdan,

about year ago I was adressed this copying issue. Just installed 2018.2. and, test it, and my happiness disapears, after copying from part to part rebar get Host category of wall not other part. View was set to "show parts". Unfortunately 1. I do something wrong, 2. or problem isn't solved.

Thanks for your quick answer.

The copy works inside the same part. If you leave the boundary of the part you have to use  pick new host command.

Got it. But it isn't the target. Must be option copy rebars from part to part. Otherwise all identical (or almost identical) parts must be reinforced individually, it's time wasting repetitive tasks.

Imagine - I am spliting floor into 3 similar parts. Already reinforced one, get host category "part", than copy rebars to another parts, but get host category "floor". Thats reason why better get option to just split entire slab. If so complicated option as "parts" may be providen, than just split slab I think is easy-go for developers.

ok, with pick new host I can get part category. Excellet. Sorry for bad comment, but it's little workaround with pickk new host.
