Autodesk
I am pained to say that I am so disappointed that the Revit LT 2022 program has unfortunately not been able to match my expectations in only one situation and that is to model very simple cylinders insofar as in the UK we need to show rain water disposal pipes and soil vent stacks whenever we submit a project for planning and building control approval.
My situation is I am a self employed designer who is very involved in the domestic market and will be stretched to purchase the Revit / AutoCAD LT suite but it makes business sense to do so however the lack of a method to model the simple pipes is very frustrating and limiting for planning and building regulations applications.
May I suggest that a small addition of the solid modelling as shown by Patrick Thornhill’s excellent YouTube video (Below) would be very good addition to the LT program and is all that would be required to satisfy the gap in the usability of the product.
If there is an acceptable work around please let me know and I would be happy to try it on my current project likewise I am very surprised this issue has not come up in the past particularly when the Facia, Soffit and RW gutters are working so well in the Revit LT package.
I would be so grateful if you could keep me in the loop of your consideration on this matter as I am enthusiastic amateur of the entire Revit LT package and would love to be able to continue my learning and commercial use of the program
