Show Structural Grid Lines on Non-perpendicular Elevations

When creating an elevation that is not perpendicular to certain grid lines, it would be useful for us to have an option for them to show. This would be very useful if we have an elevation of a curved wall, etc.

So, how would you specify WHERE to show the grid?

At the cut plane? (that wouldn't work for a curved surface)

At the face? (Which face? which objects?)

Some arbitrary location?

What do you do with dimensions between these "grids"?

The reason this isn't possible is that you're not looking at a "line". You're looking at a plane, and that grid could be anywhere along that plane.

Grids being more or less planes could show on the nearest entity they are cutting in any elevation like situation. These entities could be curved walls, curved edges of floors etc. Yes, it may be complicated to also show their annotations but I am sure the developers will come up with something should this idea take off.
